Patent, issued by the government of Sweden for Swedish Pomerania [Present-day Germany, Poland]: “Ordered: that no Jew, unless he has received a special dispensation from the royal government, shall be given a passport into the land, let alone be tolerated therein, and least of all be allowed to trade in Swedish Pomerania, to walk about, or to engage in any wholesale transactions.”
