General Rescript, issued by Magdalena Sibylla, Duchess of Württemberg, to the local government offices and police authorities of Württemberg [Present-day Germany]: “Art. 12 – In some places, it has come to pass that the people borrowed money from the Jews against fruit; whereas you, in accordance with our constitution, have to completely forbid your subordinate officers any commercial intercourse with Jews.”
