Limitations on the Purchase of Fish, issued by the government of Lower Austria [Austria]: “In recognition of the excesses of the Viennese Jewdom, who purchase the best and most prized fish early in the morning, ahead of Christians, Ambassadors and ministers, it is hereby ordered that the Magistrate of Vienna forbid Jews to buy any fish before nine o’clock in the morning and punish violators with appropriate severity.”
