“General Edict” issued by King Friedrich Wilhelm I [Prussia; Present-day Germany, Poland, Belgium]: “[…] if a Jew knowingly buys stolen items, he is to return them without payment, and he is to be flogged and branded […] and Jews everywhere are prohibited from taking more than 12 percent interest or risk losing their capital.”
