“Royal Rescript” (‘königl. Rescriptum’) issued “on behalf of his all-gracious Majesty” and addressed to the Pomeranian War- & Domain-Chamber (‘Kriegs- und Domainen-Cammer’)* [Kingdom of Prussia; Present-day Germany, Lithuania, Poland]: “We [Frederick, King of Prussia …] announce/order you herewith in response to your […] recent report from July 7, regarding the petition of the protected Jew Bernd Philipp of Slawno to [be permitted to] cut [and sell] items made of wool on the annual markets the following: […] because this would go against the privileges of the Christian businessmen and garment-tailors, the Jew* […] is to be content with cutting and selling domestic items made of wool in Slawno (‘Schlawe’) only.” [Researcher’s note: Signed in Berlin by v. Görne, v. Viereck, v. Happe, v. Boden who were all ministers under *Frederick William I of Prussia. *This rescript pertains to Bernd Philipp as well as to Jews in general.]
