“Police Ordinance” issued by the Authorities [Present-day Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary] [Provisional]: “[…] 12) Jews are prohibited to send letters around to solicit wedding gifts, except to relatives. […] They are prohibited to have [access to] trade money which they [are known to] collect for weddings on markets. 16) A Jewish marriage without authorization is to be punished with a fine of 1000 Ducats. […]”
