Decree, issued by the government of Denmark [Present-day Denmark]: “3. All business documents of confessors of the Mosaic religion must be written in German or Danish. 9. Synagogues shall not be established without permission by the King. 19. Foreign Jews may only stay in Denmark temporarily, for 14 days; any longer stay needs special permission by the local authorities.”
