“Order” issued by King Rudolf I [Present-day Germany; Free Imperial City of Frankfurt and Wetterau]: “[…] We Rudolf, king of the Romans by the grace of God, […] pledge to the noble Ulrich von Hanau and his wife Elisabeth and their heirs taxes to be paid by the Jews who reside in Frankfurt and Gelnhausen (Geilenhusen) […] the amount of the debt is 500 Pound Heller (Pfund Heller).
