Order, issued by the City Council of Nuremberg [Present-day Germany]: “The Jewish Council of Elders are [hereby] charged by the City Council, and notified, that they shall no longer bring any dead Jews here, and they are urged to let this be known among the other Jews outside of the city, as the penalty [for contraventions] is one hundred guilders.”
