“Writ” of Emperor Ferdinand addressed to Archduke Ferdinand [Kingdom of Bohemia/Habsburg Monarchy/Holy Roman Empire; Present-day Austria, Czech Republic, etc.]: “[…] We have taken your intercession and request to allow the Jews to remain in Bohemia a bit longer or to [at least] graciously extend the set deadline […] into fatherly consideration but have decided to insist that they (Jews) should leave the lands of the Bohemian Crown on [March 18] of this year and that they are not to be tolerated […] and furthermore, adhere to our general order […] and don’t step into Bohemia, not even for the purpose of collecting any outstanding debt or to sell their homes. […]”
