“Order/Instruction/Commission” of Emperor Maximilian II addressed to the Bohemian Chamber (‘böhmische Kammer’) [Present-day Czech Republic; Kingdom of Bohemia/House of Habsburg/Holy Roman Empire]: “[We] Maximilian […] Roman Emperor […] wish to maintain [the implemented] prohibition of Jews (and their trading) in the mining towns in our kingdom of Bohemia in all earnestness […] and that David Leo’s wish to pass and do business in Krásno (‘Schönfeld/Synfelt) and Horní Slavkov/Horni Slavokv (‘Schlaggenwald) […] should be rejected and that he should be prohibited [to enter these mining towns] just like all other Jews […].”
