“Governmental Decree” issued by the Austrian Government [Present-day Austria]: “[…] if the income/revenues of the Jewry is not enough to ensure the costs/salaries incurred [by their communal employees], they (the Jewry) are to bring the missing funds through repartition. […]” [Researcher’s note: “Repartition” means dividing something up between the people who are involved… so in this context, it means that if the Jewry did not have enough funds in their fund to pay their communal employees, they were to divide the remaining cost among themselves to pay for them.]
