Decree, issued by the Austrian Court-Chancellery [Present-day Austria]: “The Israelites, in those provinces where they are not entitled to own Christian real property, may not acquire the recorded ownership and possession of such real property in any way except by letting the original certificate, by the power of which they have been granted the exceptional ability to purchase and own such real estate, become part of the official record.”
