“Writ” of King Charles IV of Bohemia [Present-day Czech Republic, Germany, Poland; Kingdom of Bohemia]: “Charles IV, King of Bohemia, transfers the revenues brought in by his chamber-servants, the Jews from Wroclaw and [Neumarkt], to the councilmen and citizens of Wroclaw in compensation for the 500 Mark pennies which they have collected for the purpose of repurchasing the city of [Frankenstein].” [Researcher’s note: This is a translation of a German summary of the original Latin text.
