“Selling of Jewish houses” decree issued on behalf of the Kaiser addressing the citizens of Vienna [Lower-Austria; Present-day Austria]: “From his Royal Majesty, also to Hungary and Bohemia […] and Archduke to Austria […] have graciously decided that Jews are to be removed from the land and that their houses are to be cleared out by the approaching feast of ‘Corpus Christi’; however, these [houses] are not to be sold to any other person except to true and legitimate citizens of Vienna, or those who acquire this right […] it is announced to those who wish to have such a house in the Jewish quarters (‘Judenstadt’), that they are to make this know to the Court Commissioners in writing within 14 days […] which house they wish to purchase […] “
