“Taxation [of Jews] based on the usage of wine” decree issued on behalf of Maria Theresa via the Lower-Austrian government addressing the Magistrate of Vienna [Lower-Austria; Present-day Austria]: “[…] a special tax isn’t only to be taken from every ball, gathering, […] wedding, if it was used like cash or as a way of payment; though [it is] not [to be charged], if it (the wine) was given in friendship […] but also from all Jews who sell or distribute or give away wine as cash.“
