“Permission to get married” decree issued by the Lower-Austrian government [Lower-Austria; Present-day Austria]: “Common requirements to receive consent to marry. Only those [Jews] are to receive permission to marry, who have agreed to do this in the presence of the Jewish Commissioner (Judenschaftcommissärs) after providing the consensus of their patron (Schutzherr) and after paying the customary taxes; however, after that (the wedding), the bride and the groom are to leave Vienna.”
