“Regarding market-relations of Jews (‘Die Marktbeziehung der Juden betreffend’)” issued by Maximilian [Present-day Germany; Prince-Electorate of Bavaria]: “In the name of His princely majesty. With respect to supreme Rescript of August 30, of the previous year […] it was ordered that while they (Jews) shall be permitted to visit public markets in Munich, Landeshut, Straubing, Alt- und Neuötting, Bern, Passau, and Ingolstadt by presenting the necessary permits from the local authorities; however, they are not permitted to visit the other markets in Bavaria, and therefore no such permits (‘Patent’) shall be issued to them. […]”
