Decree Prohibiting Jews to have an artist’s name issued by the Political Police Commander [Germany]: “The Political Police Commander of the Reich ordered on October 30, 1935, that Jews should be prohibited to bear an artist’s name with or without connection to their family name because the reason for bearing an artist’s name is the camouflage of the Jewish name.”
