Landes-Regierung’) [Holy Roman Empire; Present-day Germany; Princedom of Nassau-Diez, (Amt) Dillenburg]: “[… since] Jews from Leun and surrounding areas have dared to permit themselves to remain permanently in this land/country under the pretense of delivering soaps to chandlers/shopkeepers and to pursue all kinds of trade and to peddle; therefore, the princely office (‘fürstl. Amt’) is to have these investigated by the police authorities (‘Polizei-Bediente’), and should they come across any illegal peddlers, to confiscate their items/commodities.
